The Challenge

Turn this old work-ready farm truck in a race-ready, high horsepower, corner carver that can hold its own against the best builds out there. Esthetically, it will feature clean, tight and crisp lines that will refine the exterior of this old workhorse into a show-worthy steed. Pulling bumpers in tight to the body with hints of modern touches throughout.

What We Did

Starting at the rear we built a new tailgate skin and latch system, pulled the rear bumper in tight, widened the rear wheel wells, welded all the seams on the bed, installed an aluminum bed floor and smoothed the tailgate; the Prestige Motorsports 598 inch big block and Bowler Performance T56 Magnum will make sure that's all anyone racing it will see.  Moving Forward we tightened up all the body panel gaps, aligned all panels, flipped the front bumper and pulled the sides in tight to the fenders which have been tweaked to flow into the bumper. We installed our signature Aero Mirrors and Pro Edge door handles on the doors to help add subtle, modern touches to the truck's overall look. We set it all on a Roadster Shop chassis which gives it independent front suspension, rack and pinion steering and a four link out back. It all rides on Forgeline wheels, 18s in front, 19s in back, Michelin provide the grip and Wilwood brakes handle the grab. Inside, we relied once again, on Cato's Custom Upholstery to stitch-up a gorgeous, gray leather interior, swathing the seats, door panels and visors with the stuff. We added custom machined switches to handle HVAC duty for the Vintage Air system, lights, windows and more.

What We Achieved

We turned this old farm truck from work to WOW! After decades of hauling anything it was asked to, now it hauls its occupants around in style; it's a comfortable cruiser and a pick up with plenty of performance- 700+ horsepower will do that.
